Hi there! My name is Renee Zhu, and I love to sing. Singing allows me to try new things and have fun because there are different types of music, different languages to sing in, and lots of variety in the people that sing. I have participated in my school chorus since 4th grade, and I have been training as a solo singer since I was 9 years old. I have been chosen for solos and descants, taken lessons in theater music for 3 years, and I’ve also participated in the District Honor Choir. Now, I’m learning how to sing opera aria to become a more well-rounded musician. I believe now is the best time to explore all sorts of genres of music because I still have a lot to learn for my young age. Music has shaped me for the better and it has made me into who I am today.
