John Cho

Viola

John Cho is an 18-year old violist who currently attends the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University. He was first introduced to music on the violin when he was in third grade, and he later switched to the viola in seventh grade. Since moving from Missouri to Georgia in eighth grade, John has held positions such as the principal violist of the Georgia All-State Orchestra and principal of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. He has had the pleasure of playing in lessons and masterclasses for renowned artists such as Roberto Diaz, Hsin-Yun Huang, and James Dunham. During the summers, John enjoys going to summer music camps and learning as much as he can about music. Aside from music, John loves eating food and binge-watching Youtube videos
